EDUCATION IN THE COMMUNITY
The Sustainability group is working with the community to find our next steps in Nyland's historical commitment to being sustainable. The work involves a relationship where all involved are learning and sharing information/expertise, collaborating to find solutions/decisions, then acting to bring them alive in the community, and to refine and evolve what works into a model for others to benefit from. Education is key at every level and each of us is both the teacher and student.
SUSTAINABILITY AND RESILIENCY AT NYLAND
Nyland's long history of sustainable practices and projects is expanding in 2020 to include resiliency at both the community and household level. Our relationship with the earth and how lightly we live is a major priority given the history of human impacts on the environment and how that is shaping all aspects of life and living on the earth. COVID is also changing our lifestyle, our culture, our priorities, and is giving us an opportunity for change.
